The Rosemary Goddard Centre provides a safe place for older people from Mere and the surrounding area to meet for social and stimulating activities and have a hot two-course lunch. There is also an opportunity occasionally to take day trips.
Guests pay £7.50 per session to cover tea and coffee with a biscuit/cake, a two-course hot meal and all activities provided at the Centre. To find out more about our programme of activities, click the ‘What We Do’ tab at the top of this page.
The Centre is in the Community Room, Lynch Close, Mere, Wilts BA12 6EL.We run sessions from 10.30am to 3pm every Monday and Friday except public and bank holidays. For more information on how to find us and get to us, click the ‘Contact us’ tab at the top of this page.
The Centre employs a paid organiser supported by volunteers who help her run activities and who serve meals and drinks to the guests. We welcome new volunteers – to find out more, click the ‘Volunteering’ tab at the top of this page.
A board of trustees manages, supports and gives strategic direction to the centre, a registered charity. We provide our services under a contract with Wiltshire Council, who supply about half of our income, with the rest coming from fund-raising and donations.
